Prison & Social Distancing

You don’t have to start your day off like this. When I was social distancing for 8 years in prison I learned a few things about what to do with my time:

1. Control what you can control. For me that meant I could control dressing myself, ironing my clothes, creating a schedule, and helping people.

2. See the opportunities. Although I was locked away on a seemingly remote island I saw it as a chance to pray, study God’s word, learn new skills, & practice my calling.

3. Invest in others. Even though my social distancing took place in prison it afforded me an opportunity to serve others. I did this by tutoring people, discipling, and assisting people as a legal aid.
